Meaning of mosque

mosque or masjid (مسجد‎  ) is an Arabic word which means simply a place of worship ( generally for Muslims)
In islam as according to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ all the earth is masjid for my followers so where ever time of prayer come
Pray there.

Which was first masjid  build

Narrated Abu Dhar:  I said,
 
“O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Which mosque was first built on the surface of the earth?” He said, “Al- Masjid-ul-,Haram (in Mecca).” I said, “Which was built next?” He replied The masjid  Al-Aqsa ( in Jerusalem)
 I said, “What was the period of construction between the two?”He said, “Forty years.”
 
He added,. 
                        “Wherever (you may be, and) the prayer time becomes due, perform the prayer there, for the best thing is to do so (i.e. to offer the prayers in time).

In which mosque prayer have more reward 
Narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
 
One prayer in my mosque (Prophet mosque in Madina) is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere, except the Sacred Mosque, and

one prayer in the Sacred Mosque (mecca) is better than one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere ‏”‏ ‏.‏

 Hadith

Abul-Abrad, the freed slave of Banu Khatmah, said that he heard Usaid bin Zuhair Ansari who was one of the Companions of the Prophet ( Muhammad ﷺ) narrating that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:One prayer in the Quba’ Mosque is like Umrah

 Hadith

Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“When Sulaiman bin Dawud (pbuh) finished building Baitil-Maqdis, he asked Allah for three things:
 
1.   judgment that was in harmony with His              judgment,
2. a dominion that no one after him would  have, and
 
3. that no one should come to this mosque,          intending only to pray there, but he would        emerge free of sin as the day his  mother bore him.
 
The Prophet (Muhammad ﷺ) said: “Two prayers were granted, and I hope that the third was also granted.”
 

Sahih  :          Sunan ibn majah   Hadith   1408


* As we know that one Prayer in masjid is 25-27 times more reward than Prayer at home (individually​)

* Similarly one Prayer in Masjid al haram (Mecca) has 100,000 times​ more reward than any other Masjid

* And in the same way , one Prayer in Prophet’s masjid in Madina has 1000 times more reward than anywhere else

* Quba is a city near madina there is a masjid known as Quba mosque

*  two reka’t Prayer in Quba masjid has same reward as reward of an umra
